H.E. Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen, gave an interview to France 24 at the beginning of her European tour, during which she discussed the latest political and security developments in Yemen.

During the interview, H.E. the Minister emphasized that restoring security and stability in Yemen requires ending the coup, ensuring that weapons remain exclusively under state control, and extending the authority of state institutions throughout the country’s territory.

She warned against reducing the Yemeni crisis solely to its humanitarian dimension, noting that the Houthi militia has exploited successive rounds of negotiations to strengthen its military capabilities with Iranian support and has turned Yemen into a platform for threatening neighboring countries and international maritime navigation.

The Minister further highlighted the militia’s expanding cooperation with terrorist groups in the Horn of Africa, stressing the need for decisive international action to address the root causes of these threats and support the Yemeni state and its institutions.
